There are an abundance of stunning walks on the South Downs Way literally from the doorstep – many of which can incorporate a country pub lunch, a nice café or afternoon tea.

Darwin Cottage has been equipped to the highest standard to give guests a comfortable stay. Rated 4-star by Visit England for 2021-2022, the cottage is located in the historic smuggling village of Jevington put on the map due to being the birthplace of Banoffi Pie!

Enjoy the flexibility and comfort of our self-catering cottage just a short drive away to local amenities, places of interest and local attractions. Walkers will want to explore the South Downs Way, the Seven Sisters, Friston Forest and the Cuckmere Valley to name a few.

What some of our recent guests have said:

Paul and Tanya, thanks for making us feel safe and welcome here during the Covid-19 pandemic: such a lot of work for you but it made all the difference. Thanks especially for ordering some fine weather so that we could enjoy the lovely scenery and walks. We haven’t managed to do all of them, so we hope to be back. 26.09.20
